The 12 Weeks of Christmas CAL starts Monday! Yay! I’m getting pretty excited about this, and I hope you are too. So, just a quick review of how this will work. Every Monday (starting Sept. 7th) I will post a new ornament pattern. The goal is to make one ornament a day for 12 weeks to have a tree full of handmade ornaments, or a bunch of ornaments to give away in your goody baskets. Each week when I post the new pattern, I will also give you a supply list for the following week’s pattern. The yarn will all be worsted weight, but there will be a few other “embellishments” that show up here and there. Don’t worry, nothing too extravagant, they should all be items that can easily be picked up inexpensively at a craft store. For example, next week’s supply list:
I will also show a “sneak peek” picture for the following week’s ornament. Not the whole thing, just enough to get your creative juices flowing
I don’t have one for the first week’s ornament, mainly just because I can’t figure out where to take the picture. Christmas ornaments should definitely have their picture taken on a Christmas tree, but to tell you the truth, I don’t even know where our tree is! So I though about just finding a pine tree and hanging the ornaments on it then snapping a few quick pictures. This probably what I’ll resort to. I can’t imagine how crazy I’ll look!
One more thing, each pattern will just be written out in a post and not available as a PDF download. The patterns will be rather short, so I though that might be overkill. At the end of the 12 weeks, all of the patterns will be available in one PDF download.
OK, I think that’s it! All that’s left is to wait until Monday…see ya then!
Cant wait- though I know with this time of year I wont be able to do all of these, (plus moving in a month…)- I did post about CAL on my blog though!
