Well, it didn’t take me as long as I thought to write up the pattern! For those of you who don’t know, there is a very popular children’s book called If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. This book (and all the other one’s that go in the series) is one of my son’s favorites. Oddly, though, I did not make this mouse with him in mind! It’s going to be a Christmas present for my sister-in-law =) When I asked her if there was anything specific she wanted me to make her for Christmas, she said “toys”…and since she loves this series of books, I decided to give it a shot. Of course now I’ll have to make another one for my son! The whole time I was taking pictures of Mouse, he kept saying “mouse…please!” over and over. Speaking of pictures, we had a little bit of fun with them. Check out my previous post if you’re interested! And now, the pattern (and the download) :

I love you for this! My daughter loves “If You Give A Mouse A Cookie” – and she’ll love this, too!
If you make your in-law a mouse, then your son will want one too. And when you make one for him…
I have to make some of these guys! Thank you so much for writing out the pattern. I know what’s for Christmas!!!
…if you make your in-law a mouse, then she’ll want a moose, a pig and a cat to go with it!
Thank you both for your kind comments =)
Way too cute! Great job! I will have to make a few of these for my grandbabies…and me!
This is THE cutest little mouse I have ever seen! Brava!
So very cute! Thank you for sharing the pattern.
What an adorable pattern! I absolutely love it. Just one question… In the section for the head, it lists rows 8-10 (SC around) but then skips to row 12. Is #11 sc around as well or?
This is absolutely wonderful. It is a great replica of the illustrations of one of my absolutely favorite childrens books. Thank you for sharing the pattern!!!
I can’t thank you enough for sharing this patten , my daughter always loved this book, but we were only ever able to borrow from the library, so it was like on a piece of elastic bewteen there and home. Until last year when I managed to get a copy for xmas, so this year she will get her very own mouse and cookie. Oh did I mention she’s 20. Love Lizzie xx
Happy New Year, a quick update, my daughter was highly delighted with her mouse & cookie which was peeking from her stocking on Christmas Morn. x
Thank you all for you kind comments!
Amanda – The rows were numbered wrong, but are now fixed. Sorry ’bout that!
You have NO clue how excited I am to find this! I ADORED this book! So excited to start this pattern!
